MVMS 7th grade social studies teacher, Erin Gottke, will present seven of her students' outstanding documentary and website production projects. The students' topics include social, political and military subjects, as well as the reenactment of historic figures from long ago.
Each year the third grade students at Dan Emmett School create history reports and displays about selected events or interesting persons from Knox County's past. This special early evening event will feature several of the third grade students, posted around our Museum near our exhibits relating to each of their research topics, and visitors can tour the Museum and learn more about a variety of subjects from each of the students. This is a first for us, and should prove to be a most enjoyable evening. Note the special date and time.
The evening before the opening of this year's much anticipated "Schnormeier Garden Tour," Ted Schnormeier will relate stories about his exquisite gardens and the fame that has grown around his annual tour that brings thousands of visitors from far and near to Knox County each year.
Unless otherwise noted, our monthly meetings are held at the Historical Society Museum 875 Harcourt Road Mount Vernon OH 43050
Programs begin at 7:30 p.m. Free and open to the public. For more information, call the Museum at 740-393-5247.
