Last year’s popular Civil War presentation by Knox County Career Center teacher, Robert Geiger, resulted in calls for more. So we’ve arranged for a return visit to learn more about other topics that keep his high school students interested in the history of America and Knox County.
The Christmas season is a busy time at Westerville’s Hanby House, with connections not only to the popular songs, “Up on the Housetop” and “Darling Nellie Gray,” but also to the underground railroad movement in Ohio, to the founding of Otterbein College, and to a famous newspaper editor here in Mount Vernon.
Unless otherwise noted, our monthly meetings are held at the Historical Society Museum 875 Harcourt Road Mount Vernon OH 43050
Programs begin at 7:30 p.m. Free and open to the public. For more information, call the Museum at 740-393-5247.
