Military Service in Knox County

   Knox Countians have a long history of military service, from the Revolutionary War veterans who settled here in the early 1800's through veterans of the War of 1812, the Texas' War of Independence in 1836,  the Mexican War of 1846, America's Civil War of the 1860's and those that followed.
